For a truly civilized evening in New York, you just can’t beat the Wa concert series, held in the intimate gallery space of the Tenri Cultural Institute in Greenwich Village, with Leschetizky’s Steinway, no less. For this outing, “Virtuosity and Beyond,” our host, the superlative clarinetist Charles Neidich, decried what he calls “empty virtuosity.” What he possesses is certainly not “empty”!
